With a master’s degree in plastic arts and trained in an art smelter, Amy Fischer belongs to this generation of young creators who try to start a poetic dimension in sculpture or installation. She is interested in duality, the hidden and the visible, playing between a possible stability anchored in the ground and this aspiration towards the elevation. The plant motif becomes recurrent in its often fragile work at the edge of rupture or near-sprawl. It represents the living, what constitutes us, in a coming and going between the human figure and the plant, between the branch and the root. Its tree-people and its roots-legs all come out of nature. For several years, Amy has also organized sculpture workshops in Toulouse in her studio. She participated in 2015 at the Synthetic Gardens Festival at the Saint Raymond Museum.
